On 5 November 2020, the Board of Directors of IRPC Public Company Limited or IRPC approved the appointment of Mr. Chawalit Tippawanich as President and Chief Executive Officer, Director and Secretary to the Board to replace Mr. Noppadol Pinsupa who will return to PTT Public Company Limited and is appointed Director of IRPC, effective from 1 December 2020.

 

At present, Mr. Tippawanich holds the positions of Director, Secretary to the Board, Member of the Risk Management Committee and President and Chief Executive Officer at Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited or GPSC. He is now 58 years old. With his in-depth knowledge and extensive experiences, he has held a number of positions with responsibilities over the corporate governance and business directions in PTT Group including:
-Senior Executive Vice President, PTT Public Company Limited
-Executive Vice President, Downstream Business Group Alignment, PTT Plc., on secondment in the position of Executive Vice President-Organization Effectiveness of Thaioil Plc.
-Executive Vice President, Downstream Business Group Alignment, PTT Plc., on secondment in the position of President of HMC Polymers Co., Ltd.
-Executive Vice President, Business Development and Project Management, Petrochemicals and Refining Business Unit, PTT Plc.

 

He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Engineering in Electrical Engineering from King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang and a master's degree in Engineering in Industrial Engineering Management from Asian Institute of Technology.

 

As the 6th President and CEO of IRPC, he will drive the company’s success through his vision by accelerating business growth with smart innovation research and development to provide energy solutions and satisfy new global demands instantaneously and creating more value in petroleum and petrochemical markets with the most efficient use of resources while integrating sustainability principles into the businesses.
